Unfortunately didn't catch either of the games. I love the raving of Sanheim though and Ghost though. Can't help but be excited!

I also share the Schenn/MDZ pair excitement.

PnT is tomorrow guys. It will be 5x harder than any test I've ever taken, guaranteed. Think of me from 11-1 in the afternoon.

I thought Morin did.

Akeson played pretty well, even the TOR announcer talked about his play in length. Compared him to G which is absurd. He was making plays happen all night. I look forward to seeing if he and Vinny and RJ have any chemistry.

The Devs are sneaking in Kovalchuk??

Or, as someone said the other day, they just want their prospects to get used to playing in an empty building

Very solid game for the limited amount of action overall in juniors until now, but you just see the potential of his game.

Morin I felt was a mixed bag last night, some good spots & meh spots but overall it wasn't terrible.

Another bright spot was how well vinny was skating last night.

And I heard something on the pp I ididn't hear at all last year. "A blast from the point". Man our pp is going to be so much better with a guy with a cannon at the point.

Really impressed w/ him so far... seems to have a real good feel for where to be/what to do. Bodes well for his future.

Getting a ton of ice time because of injuries to others last season with Calgary really helped bring his game up another level and much sooner.

Was happy he was available at #17 and equally has happy when they selected him.

I haven't gotten the chance to watch him but I am very encouraged by what everyone is saying.. maybe 2-3 years from now we will have our #1 stud...

That might be a bit too soon but who knows as he continues to develop.

Lots of promise with our d prospects. If MDZ works out well, then we might just end up ok this year with no need to rush any of them. I was not very impressed by Laughton last night.. maybe just a bad game, but I haven't really noticed any progress. Maybe a year in the A is calling for him. Akeson, looks really solid and I could see him making the team.

Laughton wasn't bad, but he really did nothing to stand out, either.

The puck movement by Akeson, MDZ and Couturier on the PP was fantastic for much of the night. They looked really good.

I agree with this. Haag also had a few pretty silky moments on the O side.

Regarding the pp, yes, they did but it is preseason. I am just glad that they got a win in one of the games, as last year's disaster carried over from preseason. They already look better. I am still trying to figure out what kind of player Laughton will be. 4th line defensively responsible guy? 3rd liner with maybe some pop?

I thought Laughton worked hard every shift and was noticeable. Cousins had 2 points but I didn't think he really stood out. I thought Akeson was our best all round forward and Luke was very steady in his own end. I would like to see Bellemare play more as I felt he looked pretty good

I noticed the Cousins line a lot more than Laughton.

I can't remember who each of them were playing with but one on one I just thought Laughton was out there working hard ( he didn't play great) but I didnthear Cousins name until midway through the first

I hope Morin plays again tonight as I may be going to the game. I want to see his mean streak which we really didn't see last night. He doesn't have to go out and fight but simply just be more physical along the boards and in front of net
